History Of the Glock Pistol

The Glock pistol, sometimes referred to by the manufacturer as a Glock "Safe Action" Pistol, is a series of polymer-framed, short recoil operated, locked breech semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. It entered Austrian military and police service by 1982.

Despite initial resistance from the market to accept a "plastic gun" due to durability and reliability concerns, and fears that the pistol would be "invisible" to metal detectors in airports, Glock pistols have become the company's most profitable line of products, commanding 65% of the market share of handguns for United States law enforcement agencies as well as supplying numerous national armed forces and security agencies worldwide. Glocks are also popular firearms amongst civilians for recreational/competition shooting, home/self defense and concealed/open carry.

The company's founder, engineer Gaston Glock, had no experience with firearm design or manufacture at the time their first pistol, the Glock 17, was being prototyped. Glock did, however, have extensive experience in advanced synthetic polymers, knowledge of which was instrumental in the company's design of the first commercially successful line of pistols with a polymer frame. Glock introduced ferritic nitrocarburizing into the firearms industry as an anti-corrosion surface treatment for metal gun parts.

<<<MORE INFOMRATION ON PFC CAP GUNS>>>

PFC ( Plug Fire Caps) are Shell Ejecting Cap Replicas dimensionally similar to the real steel version but it won't expel anything at all. These dummy replicas are for those who like the feel of a real gun without needing to shoot or clean it. Comes with metal bullets that you can load into the magazine, chamber, and eject on each cycling of the slide - the same exact operation as a real gun except without the bang.

These dummy guns are perfect for training use, for collector fun, or if you simply love the feeling of inserting each round into the magazine, insert the mag, cock it back and watch each and every single shell spent every single time you pull the trigger, then this is something you should really consider.

It may feel like metal, but isn't. What it is, is a heavyweight plastic which feels cold to the touch deceiving the user into thinking that you're holding a full metal replica. Of course, it doesn't weigh the same but it isn't at all about that.

Each metal bullet can be unscrewed to insert a gunpowder cap that actually cycles the gun on firing, but these caps are only sold in Japan.
